Autism spectrum disorder is a group of neurodegenerative disorders that caused by physiological the brain which represents change in its shape and structure characterized difficulties with social interaction & communication restricted repetitive behavior. (ASD) presents behavioral characteristics can occur early developmental stages individuals. symptoms appear majority children between ages 12 18 months. Early indicators autism include challenges faced individual making eye contact, being unresponsive to his or her name, having difficulty following another person's gaze pointing finger an item poor imitation nonverbal issues. Because most parents are unaware these "early" autism, do not receive diagnosis until they reach age 3. Dental issues such as bruxism, non-nutritive chewing, tongue thrusting, masochistic behaviors, erosion, xerostomia, dental caries, gingival delayed tooth eruption common ASD. These present unusual response stimuli it difficult for parents/caretakers maintain their child's oral hygiene poses challenge dentists operate on child.
